Spring Juried Art Exhibition Show Prospectus


Open to all artists who live in East Tennessee. Submit only works completed in the last three years. ALL WORKS MUST BE ORIGINALS!!! Prints will not be accepted.

All works must be suitably framed/mounted and wired for installation. 3-D work must be sturdy, stable, or otherwise secured to a base. Jurors reserve the right to disqualify any work that is not suitably presented.

Entry Procedure:

Minimum fee of $21 covers up to 3 pieces. Additional pieces $7 each, maximum of 7 pieces.

DO NOT PUT YOUR NAME OR CONTACT INFORMATION ON YOUR IMAGE. Watermarked entries will be disqualified.

2-D work can be no larger than 36” by 36,"  including frames.

Please fill out all the spaces including all of your contact information on the entry/submission sheet.

Please number your entries on the contact sheet... make sure numbers correspond with the photos, i.e., 1.BeautifulDay.jpg,  2.CowinGarden.jpg, etc.

All images must be in .jpg format.  Send .jpgs via email to cindy@yestudio.org with "Spring Art Exhibit" in the subject line.

Images (jpegs) must be sized correctly to email. The website to resize your images is: http://www.resizeyourimage.com/

(maximum of 1500 pixels width or height, whichever is largest)

Winners will be notified via phone or email, so make sure to print both of these very clearly!


Receipt of the completed application constitutes agreement to all conditions established in the prospectus. Consent to use photos of work for promotion purposes is assumed unless otherwise stated by the artist.  Fine Arts Blount is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged artworks. Artist is responsible for any and all shipping costs and insurance, if work needs to be shipped.


After notification, all winning entries must be delivered to the gallery on Tuesday, March 24th, 2015 between the hours of 11:am and 6:pm.

All hanging pieces MUST be ready to hang with wire on back. No exceptions. Please identify each piece by title, price (if for sale), and artist on back.


Every effort is made to promote sales (work is NOT required to be for sale). Fine Arts Blount requires a minimum 20% donation on all sales.

Return of Artwork:

Artists are responsible for picking up artwork by April 21st. Any works not picked up within 30 days of April 21, 2015 will become the property of Fine Arts Blount.


March 12th - online submissions MUST be received by Fine Arts Blount.

March 24th - top 20 entries MUST be delivered to Fine Arts Blount for hanging (106 East Broadway, Maryville)

March 27th - An artists' reception will be held at Fine Arts Blount at 5:30 pm (before Last Friday ArtWalk)

April 21st - Art is to be picked up at Fine Arts Blount between Noon and 6:pm

Cash prizes will be awarded for the top 3 entries, which will include,

 Best of Show and Two (2) Juror's-Choice awards
